UAE to observe August 28 as ‘Accident-Free Day’

ABU DHABI, UAE: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) will observe August 28 as ‘Accident-Free Day’, aiming to fostering a sense of responsibility among all segments of the community to ensure the compliance of traffic rules and safe driving practices resulting in no road accidents.UAE to observe August 28 as ‘Accident-Free Day’

The observance of the ‘Accident-Free Day’ is part of the initiative undertaken by the UAE’s Ministry of Interior in collaboration with local police authorities.

The initiative focuses on educating citizens on traffic rules, regulations, and safe driving practices.

The Head of the Federal Traffic Council at the Ministry of Interior Brigadier General Eng. Hussein Ahmed Al Harithi said, “Our efforts will continue consistently, especially in the field of awareness, according to the plans prepared for the year 2023. ”

“The choice of August 28 was made to coincide with the start of the school year, creating a preventive occasion where all sectors of society, both public and private, work towards accident-free roads and without hazards,” Brigadier General Eng. Hussein Ahmed Al Harithi said.
