ABU DHABI, UAEL: The UAE National Center of Meteorology (NCM) will launch a special month-long cloud-seeding mission from next week, an artificial technique to induce rainfall.
The cloud-seeding mission mission will begin from the Al Ain International Airport to continue till the end of September 2023.
During the campaign, a group of researchers and pilots will cross-examine the performance of different cloud seeding materials with and without electric charge, helping the NCM understand and perform cloud seeding in a more efficient way.
The data acquisition will be carried out by advanced instrumentation and sensors installed on the NCM seeding aircraft and the SPEC Learjet.
