ABU DHABI, UAE: The UAE’s Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has announced the allocation of 6,000 rest stations for delivery workers across the Emirates during the Midday Break.

The initiative is part of the ministry’s commitment to protect workers from heat exhaustion during summer, and in partnership with government entities and private sector companies.

Its partners include Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Integrated Transport Centre in Abu Dhabi, and the Departments of Economic Development across the UAE along with delivery companies such as Talabat, Deliveroo, Noon, and Careem.

Various restaurants, shopping centres, retail stores, and cloud kitchens are also participating in this initiative.

An interactive map will help workers locate these rest stations easily during the Midday Break from June 15 to September 15, 2024 from 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm.
