Heavy rain and thunder have lashed several parts of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) overnight as the severe weather conditions forecast to strike the UAE this weekend have begun.
Meanwhile, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the temporary suspension of Intercity Bus Service between Dubai and Sharjah (Route E315) due to weather conditions.
Separately, due to water accumulation on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed road in Sharjah, traffic has been diverted to Emirates Road via Tripoli Street.
In Dubai, the Municipality Teams are work tirelessly to drain rainwater and clear fallen trees to ensure safety and restore normalcy.
The RTA is also putting all efforts in coordination with Dubai Police, Dubai Municipality, and Nakheel dealing with rain effects in Dubai and work is underway to restore smooth traffic flow.
