Dubai Police launches an initiative to support Hatta Traders

DUBAI, UAE: The Dubai Police General Command, represented by the General Department of Logistical Support, launched the “Hatta Traders Support” initiative which aims to involve young people in establishing and managing projects, giving them contractual opportunities with the public and private sectors, and supporting and marketing their products.

This came during a meeting of the Dubai Police General Command with Hatta merchants, at the Hatta Community Center, in the presence of Lieutenant Colonel Obaid Al-Irshad Al Shamsi, Deputy Director of the General Department of Logistical Support at the agency, Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Mansour Al Mulla, Director of the Purchasing and Warehouses Department, and Shamma Ali Ghanem, Director of the Supplier Relations Center, Hoda Abdel Karim, Head of the Supplier Services Department, and a number of officers.

At the beginning of the meeting, Lieutenant Colonel Obaid Al Shamsi stressed the keenness of the Dubai Police General Command under the guidance of His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, and the follow-up of Major General Ali Ghanem, Director of the General Department of Logistical Support, to constantly communicate with all strategic partners, and to strengthen the bonds of ongoing relations with them. In order to achieve the future aspirations of both parties.

Lieutenant Colonel Obaid Al Shamsi said that Dubai Police is interested in supporting and empowering Emirati entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium enterprises, by launching the “Hatta Merchants Support” initiative and coordinating with government agencies and the private sector to provide benefits and incentives for these projects and support their products and services.

Colonel Al Shamsi gave an introductory overview of the initiative, which aims to support merchants by supporting and marketing their products and increasing contractual opportunities with the public and private sectors, noting that the beneficiaries of the initiative are merchants of home projects, start-up licenses, and licenses granted by the Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment to support small and medium enterprises.

Rehabilitation Plan

For her part, Shamma Ali Ghanem stressed the social, tourism and economic importance of the Hatta region, which is why the Dubai Police, represented by the Supplier Relations Center, decided to launch an initiative to enable and qualify Hatta merchants to participate in the tenders presented by the Dubai Police, which will enable them to participate in the tenders of other government departments in the region. Implementation Phase
