Dubai Police Training Department Records 100% Employee Satisfaction Rate

The Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Administrative Affairs at Dubai Police Major General Ahmed Mohammed Rafi lauded the General Department of Training for making significant advancements in personnel development in criminal, traffic, and administrative areas by adopting innovative ideas in training and continuous education for security personnel.

Major General Rafi noted that the General Department of Training contributes to achieving police performance indicators by enhancing efficiency, responsiveness, and the sense of security. He stressed that the strategic priorities of security institutions focus on human resource development and their qualification with the latest knowledge, theories, and practical applications.

Major General Rafi made these remarks during his inspection visit to the General Department of Training as part of the annual inspection programme for general departments and police stations.

KPIs

Major General Rafi reviewed the strategic indicators of the General Department of Training, including an overall satisfaction rate of 99% in 2022. The ratio of developed and improved training programmes reached 100%, the average training hours per employee stood at 21 hours, the impact of training measurement was 100%, and job satisfaction was at 100%.

Current Projects

Major General Rafi also reviewed the Department’s projects and foresight plan, including training plans for traffic, criminal, administrative, security, crises, disasters, and future projects. The importance of training programmes designed based on Dubai Police’s needs was also discussed, ensuring a holistic process that produces qualified individuals capable of handling various challenges in their daily work.

Future Initiatives and Projects

Major General Rafi was briefed on the future initiatives and projects of the General Department of Training, such as the fifth phase of the training impact measurement project, the evaluation and qualification initiative for “999” and “901” employees, the awareness game ‘My Child is My Friend ‘, commercial games, virtual shooting training, military virtual training, criminal and traffic investigations, the annual trainees’ forum initiative, re-licensing of field trainers, smart descent training, virtual tour for people of determination, and the crime scene training using virtual reality goggles.

Smart Training Centre

Major General Rafi also reviewed the statistics of the Dubai Police’s Smart Training Centre. The centre has 128 interactive training courses, executed 1070 training programmes, and has 609 certified trainers. The total training hours amounted to 193,663 hours, with 15,263 unique trainees and 75,903 repeated trainees.
