The Director of the Traffic Awareness Department Colonel Abdurrahman Al Falasi highlighted that focusing on the worker demographic is crucial, as they often comprise pedestrians, bicycle, and scooter users. He stressed that continuous awareness efforts are pivotal in ensuring overall public safety, particularly in safe road-crossing and adherence to traffic signals and crossing points.

The Head of Traffic Awareness Section in the Traffic Awareness Department Lieutenant Salma Al Marri added that specialised educators from the Traffic Awareness team delivered these workshops and lectures.

“Over 10 months, they visited worker accommodations and companies in four areas: Al Quoz, Jebel Ali, Dubai Investment Park, and Al Muhaisnah,” she said.

Al Marri noted that special educational material was designed to be simple and clear and was presented to the workers in their native language, ensuring maximum comprehension and impact.
