Dubai Police Concludes ‘Event Security’ Training Programme for Leaders

DUBAI, UAE: The Director of the General Department of Traffic His Excellency Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazroui witnessed the conclusion of the specialised “Event Security” training organised by Dubai Police in collaboration with British experts.

The closing ceremony was attended by the Acting Director of the Dubai Police Academy Brigadier Dr. Sultan Al Jamal, the Deputy Director of the General Department of Training Brigadier Ahmed Bin Mardas, and the Deputy Director of the General Department for Organisations Protective Security and Emergency for Emergency Affairs Brigadier Misbah Saeed Al Ghafli.

Participants also included leaders from the Abu Dhabi Police, Dubai’s General Directorate of Civil Defense, Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), and the Dubai Health Authority.

During the event’s conclusion, Major General Al Mazroui emphasised the importance of this training in coordinating efforts and enhancing expertise exchange among all partners in various events.

“Such collaboration contributes to the effective organisation and management of events at the highest standards and according to best practices,” he said.

Al Mazroui highlighted that the significance of this course stems from Dubai’s status as a global destination for hosting major international events. This positioning necessitates coordinated efforts, ensuring all working teams maintain the highest readiness levels.

Major General Al Mazroui further explained that the course aimed to enhance the efficiency and capabilities of security personnel and partners from various sectors involved in event security and empowered them with knowledge and skills to address challenges, ensuring security and safety requirements are met at event locations.
