If the visitor fails to apply for an extension, they have to face the consequences in the form of a penalty fee. To apply for a Visa extension, one must contact the visa issuing agent.

The visa issuing agent or sponsor will provide you with all the necessary information regarding the UAE Visit visa extension. They give your briefing about documentation, fees, and other procedures. To apply for the extension, the applicants must apply before the expiration of the visa to have enough time for the application to process.

The process may take a few days to process. According to the ICP website, the minimum time required for an extension of a visa is 48 hours.

Maximum Extension

The extension is applicable for both short-term as well as long-term visas for as long as 120 days (30 days on each extension). The maximum period of stay should not exceed more than 120 days as it will result in the expiration of the visa and a penalty fee.
