Though the Roads and Transport Authority’s (RTA) Dubai Bus on Demand Service, a passenger is enabled to travel in a smart, efficient and affordable way within Dubai’s major zones.
Currently, the service is operated in the following three Zones:
- Al Barsha (1, 2 & 3),
- Al Nahda and Dubai Silicon Oasis
- Academic City
A passenger can book the service individually or as a group, and travel within the same zone from where her/she started the journey.
Eligibility
- Tourists and residents are eligible to use the service.
Required documents
- Valid Credit Card or Nol Card
Service fees
- 5 AED per trip/passenger
- 4 AED for every additional passenger in the same booking
Here’s how it works and how you can book Dubai Bus On Demand:
- Download the smart app (Dubai Bus on Demand)
- Register for the service
- Activate the application after confirming the provided data & payment details
- The app specifies the location of the bus, seat availability, time required for arrival of the bus, and the estimated travel time to the desired destination within the zone of operation
- Book the service using the smart app and pay for the trip either by Credit Card or Nol Card using the POS machines installed inside the bus
- On arrival of the bus, board and travel to your chosen destination
