Muslims across the world including in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are poised to celebrate the Eid Ul Fitr 2023.

However, it’s yet to be confirmed that when Eid Ul Fitr will fall in the UAE, either on Friday or Saturday.

The Eid Moon will be sighted on Thursday evening around the world including in the United Arab Emirates.

If the moon is sighted on Thursday evening, it will bring an end to the Holy Month of Ramadan and Shawwal will begin with the Eid Ul Fitr Celebrations on Friday.

But Eid will fall on Saturday if the situation is vice versa with regard to the moon sighting.

The following are Eid Ul Fitr 2023 Prayers Timings on the First Day of Shawwal in three of UAE Emirates including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah.

  • Abu Dhabi: 6.12 am
  • Dubai: 6.10 am
  • Sharjah City: 6.07 am

Muslims will gather in mosques or open places to offer the Eid prayers in congregation across the UAE.

Preparing For Eid Ul Fitr Prayers in UAE

Muslims follow the Sunnah of Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Him) to prepare for Eid Ul Fitr Prayers.

  • Perform ghusl (bath) before prayers
  • Eat an odd number of dates
  • Dress up and wear your festive clothes
  • Exchange well-wishes with family members and friends by saying Taqabbalallahu Minna wa Minkum – May Allah accept (the worship) from us and from you
