ABU DHABI, UAE: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Faisal Niaz Tirmizi on Thursday visited the Art Dubai, the Middle East leading international Art Fair, being held from March 1- 5, 2023 in Dubai.

The envoy appreciated the work of Pakistan’s critically acclaimed artists Adeela Suleman, Mohammad Ali Talpur, Rasheed Arain, Muzamil Roheel, Ghulam Mohammad, Faiza Butt, Hamra Abbas, Waqas Khan and Ayesha Jatoi participating in the Art Dubai.

Canvas Gallery is the only Pakistani gallery participating in this prestigious international art event along with more than 100 galleries from around the world.

In his remarks, Ambassador Faisal Tirmizi said that it is a proud moment for the art community and Pakistan.

For this series, Adeela Suleman has created eight artworks in different forms ranging from Relief and Tapestry to hand-painted Ceramic plates.

Alongside incorporating different mediums and referencing art styles such as Mughal miniature painting, the artist has adopted ideas from Greek mythology, Ottoman Empire, Iranian tales, and Sub-Continent history.

In her artist statement, Suleman notes, “Throughout history, artists have perceived violence through merged colors, patterns and textures to depict wartime beliefs, ideologies, practices, symbols and values. My work investigates not only artists expression towards terror but also the deep-rooted meaning of violence itself”.

Adeela Suleman’s booth received a large number of visitors and art patrons at the start of the exhibition. She invited all art lovers to visit her booth at E5 Johara at Art Dubai Contemporary.
