DUBAI, UAE: Dubai has been ranked first in the Arab World and 11th globally in the list of “The Leading Maritime Cities of the World for the Year 2024”, according to an international report launched recently in Singapore by DNV and Menon Economics.
The Leading Maritime Cities (LMC) 2024 Report says that Dubai’s rise in the Leading Maritime Capitals Index for 2024 is attributed to five key factors: Shipping Centres, Maritime Technology, Ports and Logistics, Attractiveness and Competitiveness, as well as Financial and Legal Aspects.
The report also highlights Dubai’s accent on green technology in the Maritime Sector.
Singapore has retained its title as the leading Maritime City in the world for 2024 followed by Rotterdam and London.
The 2024 Edition of the Leading Maritime Cities of the world (LMC) report was launched on April 15.
The LMC report was a collaborative effort between Menon Economics and the classification society DNV.
More than 15,000 Cities were benchmarked on 45 different indicators. 190 Maritime Experts from all over the world contributed with their subjective assessments of the Cities.
